Swapping number over to O2 SIM

I joined an O2 monthly plan online over a week ago.

During the application I submitted a PAC code to change over my number from Vodafone.

I have already received my O2 SIM through the post.

My question is do I need to do anything e.g text a message after inserting the O2 SIM?

I thought I would simply insert the SIM, make sure there's a signal of some sort (assuming this would activate the swap over), put the Vodafone SIM back so that I can keep using my number until there is no longer any signal and so finally put the O2 SIM back in.

Thanks.

Hi @LizVinelli

The process uses the PAC code, and if you didnt receive a text with switching date.

I would give customer services a call on 202 from your o2 sim card or 0344 809 0202 from a landline, and give them your PAC code.

They will then text you a porting date, on that day put the o2 simcard in the phone and reboot during the day between 9am and 6pm, and your Vodafone sim card should go dead, and your number will be ported over to o2.
