Hi I’ve been trying to change a number from business account to personal. Have new phone, sim and temp number, currently inactive. Rang business 3x over last fortnight - each time they say they are filling out form to make transfer could take 5 days. Yesterday promised swap in 4 hours. Still nothing. At wits end!

Yes, it can be done. If your business contract has reached the end term then you need to take out a new consumer contract which you will get a temporary number with. Contact customer services and explain that you want to transfer your business number to your new consumer contract and they will ask for your current number and the new temporary number. Once the number has been moved over (normally 24hrs) then your business contract will terminate.

thank you - yes did all this a fortnight ago and Business keep submitting the same form when I ring and its not working.

This is not the first time this has happened and probably won't be the last. O2 have real problems transferring numbers.
One customer went as far as using a PAC code to move their number to a PAYG and then a PAC to move it to their consumer account.
Bit of a way round but probably quicker than dealing with O2 incompetence
