Hi guys,

I'm a new o2 customer via virgin's volt scheme.

9 Days ago I was sold an 18 month contract with o2, for £11 (and some change) per month, with 5gb data.

I just found a much better deal via uswitch for 12 months, 20gb data for £8 month. Uswitch took me to the regular o2 checkout, had all my details preloaded etc. and asked if I wanted to keep my sim + number (to which I said yes).

So it seems like things have been seamless, my o2 user portal now shows the new data limits etc.

How can I double check that the original contract was cancelled so that I am not double paying, bearing in mind I am within the first 14 days of the contract.

Many thanks in advance

Keeping your number should cancel any previous contracts

If you have registered for My O2 then check there is only the latest contract showing

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

Thanks for the heads up about these forums only being for other customers (Some companies also have staff members active, so good to know that's not the case).

Yes it's the only contract I can see active, but I will reach out via social media just in case.

Cheers
