Hi,

I purchased the Sony Xperia 1 ii on the 5th. These are going to be available from the 18th this month. My question is; Are you going to deliver it on the 18th, or just dispatch it that time, or not even that? Because I have no information about this at all.

This is absolutely ridicolous!
 
I pre-ordered on O2 website on the 4th, 22 minutes after it went live.
 
Just called O2 Custmer Services on 0800 090 1808 and was told that its OUT OF STOCK, I'm not getting it anytime soon and it will be a long wait. They charged my card 5 days ago...
 
How is it even possible that they took pre-orders without physically having enough stock? What about the headphones then? Will there even be enough if I make a claim in two, three, five weeks or whenever O2 sends me the phone?
 
I think I'm done here and I'm cancelling my order. I guess it's time to switch to a different brand after 5 years with Sony 😞

@Chris_K Would you please happen to have any insight in to why many orders have been screwed up? I understand you said earlier that if you pre-ordered while in stock, you should receive it on launch day.

Called O2 twice now, around 8:15am and now at 9:10am:

 

1st time: was told its OOS and I should wait, nothing can be done.

 

2nd time: Was told it's IN STOCK and rep placed another order for me. Straight after the call I got a text from O2 saying: 

 

"Sorry it's taking longer than we hoped to send your order. We're still expecting more stock soon. We'll text you again as soon as we have delivery date."

 

I have absolutely no clue what's going on. Utter mess!

I have received the email in the morning.
Now I can track my parcel. It's via DHL. 26 more stops for the driver.

I am also in the same position.

 

I ordered on the 5th and received an email earlier today saying it was out of stock.

 

how is possible that some people who ordered after these dates have received their phones (pleased they have at least got them 😉). Yet those who ordered earlier have not?

 

This means the headphone claim is not going to be possible either, which is why we ordered so early.


I spoke to customer complaints today and they said the order is going to take a long time to fulfill and no answer to the headphone issue?

 

 

Any ideas?

Spoke to O2 for the 3rd time at 10am. Demanded clarity and confirmation that I still get the headphones.
 
Apparently the guy I spoke to 2nd time blantantly lied to me as system 100% shows its OOS and he also lied to me that he placed another order!
 
How the hell a company like O2 can mess it up so much?

I've just cancelled my order. Ordered on the 5th, had virtually no communication until I receieved a text yesterday saying it wouldn't be delivered that day - noone had even told me it was due!

 

Live chat was no help. My02 app showed I had no products on my account. I rang a bunch of numbers until I finally got through to someone who told me it was due to arrive tomorrow (today). Well suprise, it's not here and I've rang again to be told it is out of stock with no indication of when it's arrving.

 

I'm shocked at how bad O2 has been about this. Part of the reason I ordered the phone was due to the free headphones. Now I see others who order much later than me have their device already??? I notice O2 have taken my payment immediatly mind, no issues there.
