Signal drops from 4G to 3G when making or receiving calls

I have 2 iPhones on O2, one works perfectly. The other drops from 4G to 3G when making or receiving calls and occasionally the 3G symbol disappears entirely and the phone won't make/receive calls for a few mins.

I've swapped the SIMs over and the problem moves with the SIM. So I got a new SIM and the same happened. So I got a second new SIM and the same has happened again.

This is driving me bonkers - what is the problem?

Yes it is the problem

You need wifi calling aenabled as this also incorporates 4g calling.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Just found that VoLTE was turned off and not enabled on the SIM contract (it's actually a work business phone) - is this the answer?
