Hi,

I travel to Portugal almost every month and for the last year and a half when i land in Portugal my phone does not work, i can not make or recieve calls, and not use any data.  i hav eto rely on wifi in hotels and other places.

I have contacted 02 many times about this and they keep saying there is nothing wrong with my account or settings,

I have tried everyting, switching the phone off or on, manyally selcting networks etc..it still says "forbidden on network" . its now becoming quite annoying and im about to change providers if this cant be resloved.

any suggestions other than repeating what i have already tried above?

@Nick74

You must have a bar on your account.

There are 2 levels of travel restrictions so maybe customer service are only looking at one level?

Either way, you need to call them to check.

All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
Or 202 from your O2 mobile.
Advice from an O2 Guru to get through:
When you call 202, you will be asked for the reason you are calling.
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
You can also try saying "Upgrade" or "Fraud" to be connected to an advisor.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
