Currently overseas and have the following issues: can call out but can’t receive calls.
Can receive txt msgs but can’t send txt msgs.
Contacted O2 and best they can tell me is they will look into it .. 3 - 7 days .. meanwhile I’m paying for a service that’s not being provided and I pay the cost of calling O2 to fix the issue .. unfortunately the people in uk trying to call me don’t have internet calling availability.
I have been an O2 customer for almost 30 years, in a word service from O2 is appalling

This is scary.
If a long-standing customer is suffering this ordeal, it suggests that I am lined up for a service quality heartbreak by the time my endless on-boarding is finally completed

1. O2 can be reached via Social Media, either link at the bottom of this post will get you there - do persist, though, the team is small, mainly UK-based, and popular.
2. Try searching for another network, use any, even if they show as Forbidden.
3. Guide: Text Message Tips (not sent or received) may help after 2 above.
4. The people in the UK trying to call you could all use WhatsApp to leverage data for voice and messaging purposes.
5. Length of time with any provider, let alone O2, stands for aught these days, @Ger2.

Not necessarily, @SteveN_Feud - many long-standing customers of O2 exist, some of those are even here on this Forum. Sometimes, the cards simply don't fall your way. 🤷

Currently in France and a customer since mid 90’s. All working fine for me.
Knowing where overseas may help us @Ger2 but in general terms, manually selecting alternative networks usually resolves such issues.
90% of roaming issues are down to the roaming provider.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
