Problem getting O2 to refund money when account is closed

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I am still waiting for O2 to refund money to my account for 2 accounts that I have recently closed (last November). Despite them confirming that I am owed money I do not seem to be able to get them to pay it back to me. They do not return calls or seem interested in talking to me. I have tried to resolve this via the online chat service since December 2015 on on a number of further occassions and also via telephone since but still do not have the money that O2 owe me. Any person considering taking out an account with O2 should consider this.

Is this a common problem?

The Problem now sorted - thanks to O2 chat I just had. The final bill/account closing process is a bit difficult to understand, but if you get connected to an advisor it becomes clear

If it was just as simple as explaining an o2 process, we could have advised you of that.

Yes, I'm fairly sure that between us we could have explained any process. There's a lot of knowledge on here and usually far more helpful than most chat advisers.

I've been waiting 2 months for a refund that there are of but seem unable to pay for whatever reason. Can this be escalated to small claims and get bailiffs to get my money back from them?
