Hi, About to switch to O2 but there seems to be a contradiction in the annual price changes. Aside from the generous act of not applying RPI if it is negative, the contract states price rises from April 24, but eh website from 25:

Contact:

12 month(s). Each year your Airtime Plan will be increased by the Retail
Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation announced in February plus 3.9%. If RPI
is negative, we’ll only apply the 3.9%. You’ll see this increase on your April
2024 bill onwards. See o2.co.uk/prices

Footer from Basket page:
*Monthly price of your Airtime Plan will increase each April from April 2025 by the Retail Price Index rate of inflation announced in February each year plus 3.9%. If RPI is negative, we'll only apply the 3.9%.

Which is correct?
Thanks

Which could be worse for people on a low cost tariff because networks will just add £3 per month (example) to everyone.

It is going to be bad for everyone, think EE are increasing all plans by £1.50 per month from March 2025, Vodafone £1.80 and free from £1 on the lowest plans to £1.50 on the 100GB or more plans..

Be careful what everyone wished for... as people as @MI5 said on cheap sub £10 deals are going too be screwed
