Hoping someone can help please? I'm in the Newport area (S. Wales) and my network speed is very slow, averaging 500-600kbs. According to O2, network is good with no repairs/faults. My phone (Samsung S9) struggles to load YouTube/Instagram it is that bad, anyone know what speeds I should expect? Any tips? Cheers! Have also taken screenshots of speedtest results but unable to post here.. Thanks.

Check your postcode here...https://status.o2.co.uk/

Download the My Network app and get updates through that. You can also report faults

Have you recently upgraded or changed tariff?

Try switching your network mode to 3g and see if the speed improves?

@jonsie, checked postcode/got My Network app, that's how I done speedtest.. Will report a fault, haven't yet. Had my phone since June, speed has never been great, just getting worse last few weeks..
@MI5, 3g speed is slightly better, have been 'scaling down'/turning off 4g, don't understand why 3g is 'slightly' better than 4g when the 4g coverage in my area is supposed to be good..

If 3G is faster it means the 4g band is congested.
