Monthly payment due in the 6th Sept, paid online on 4th.. bank says payment is pending and O2 are asking today for the bill for the 6th to be paid.... I've already paid it... Seems that O2 have not requested the money sent from my bank. What can be done as it's now effecting my phone use.

Sounds like it hasn't been finalised, and if it is showing as pending the o2 have requested it from your bank and it is stuck in the banking system, as usually when making payment online by card you get a text and email within an hour or so..
All you can do is provide proof to o2 and call them tomorrow on 0800 902 0217
