Pay Monthly to Pay and Go Go Go

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all.  I have just move from O2 pay monthly (where I have been for many years) to pay and go go go keeping my number.  From what I can understand from the t&c's I automatically qualify for a double allowance if I top up my phone with £20 for the £10 tariff.  I topped up for the first time since moving last night with £20 and I have just have the 75min and 500 text allowance.  I have tried looking for help with a Guru but I'm still no further forward.  Am I right in thinking this qualifies? The Guru says I have to be on the tariff for 3 months.  Has anyone experienced this and can help?  Thanks.

No sorry I can't figure that out either, I moved to Pay Monthly because of this.

It does seem as if you should be getting more for what you've paid.

Maybe support can disentangle this.

From the online page here:

http://freesim.o2.co.uk/freesim/?cm_mmc=googleuk-_-O2%20Sim%20Only-_-O2%20Tariffs%20Search%20-%20Go%...

Welcome to the only tariff that gets better with time. On Pay & Go Go Go, we have created a Pay & Go tariff that gets better over time. Get 75 minutes, 500 texts and 100MB of data for only £10 a month. Then after 3 months, everything doubles, still for £10. And the longer you’re with us, the better it gets.

Here are the top-up values you can choose from each month. If you want to use more minutes, texts and data than your monthly allowance, feel free and we’ll simply charge you at the standard O2 rate.

Pay & Go Go Go extra data offer:
Now get an extra 150MB when you top up £10 or 250MB when you top up £20*.

It looks as if you have bought 250Mb of extra data.

Thanks for the reply!  This is the wording that's causing me difficulties...

3. After being on Pay & Go Go Go for three months, you'll get a double allowance of either:
150 minutes, 1000 texts, and 200MB of data for £10 as long as you've topped up at least £20 in the last three months; or
500 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data for £20 as long as you've topped up at least £40 in the last three months.

4. If you've been with O2 Pay & Go for more than three months or you are moving from O2 Pay Monthly to Pay & Go, you can join Pay & Go Go Go and move straight to a double allowance, as long as you've met the top up requirement outlined in clause 3.

I have topped up with £20.  Sorry if I'm misunderstanding it, this pay and go carry on is all new to me.

Hi again, and thank you perksie for your replies.  Got round to ringing customer services today, and was pleased to find that I was indeed right about the double allowance.  It totally baffles me sometimes how answers vary from person to person within a company, but a huge thank you to the lad I spoke to who couldn't have been more helpful, and who rectified the problem immediately during our conversation.
