I have a PAYG account and have texted BALANCE to 20202 several times today but haven't received a reply with my current balance. I also get a balance notification after every text message I send but haven't been getting those either. This was working a few days ago.
Do I need to do something my end to get these working again or does O2 stop this service occasionally for maintenance ?

Hi,
The notification should continue unless you turn it off via CS.
Ref balances you can get this via your myo2 app if you have it on your phone.
Perhaps the network is congested or simply remove your sim and give it a clean to see if that helps.
"Have you tried key *#10# then press the call button or Alternatively you can text the word ‘balance’ to shortcode 20202 (this is free of charge). A text will be returned detailing your remaining allowances and recent usage charges. "
Its working ok for me.

After leaving it for a day it seems to be working again now.
I get 2 text messages - the first with my balance and the second saying how much data I have remaining.

CS is customer service and to turn it off acknowledgement on you need to call them on 4445 or use live chat and ask them to switch it back on.
