O2 network down in Droitwich for nearly a week now. Any phone working on the O2 network (O2, Tesco, GiffGaff) almost totally useless. No signal (well, intermittently one bar, but usually no network at all) for calls or Data. Contacted them via live chat - not at all interested. Contacted CEO - not very interested but have written again in the hope that they would accept that they must have someone within the company with some idea of when service is likely to be resumed!! When my contract is finished I'll be off to EE I think..........

Went out last weekend and hasn't been back since. I can get a one bar signal intermittently if I climb up into the loft. 6 months left and will be moving to EE as soon as it's finished (or maybe a little earlier and accept the loss). May even move now and argue for earlier release.............

Go down the complaint route and call them if necessary. Others have been successful in ending the contract with the same issue. I moved to EE 3 months ago.

Sorry @Anonymous ...Not very good news... usually there is an estimated fix time, although we avoid sharing it with the customer in order not to create disappointment but on this one...there isn't one...so whatever it is....
The only thing I can do is register you for the network updates, so that when we do know or have an estimate time we will email you?If you want to do it,can you please pm me your email?

I did noticed though that there is another mast that is problem free not too far away, so your phone may be stuck on the faulty mast and not switching to the other one.
this is not guaranteed to work, as it depends on you phone also, but can you go to manual network selection, choose one of the other networks, it will try to register for a while and then it will say failed, or restricted. Once this happens select o2, it may take a few attempts for it to register, if you are successful in locking the network, switch your phone off and on again. Do not change to automatic network mode until the mast is fixed. Fingers crossed!

Tried that - but it won't even show O2 as an available network. Orange, EE etc, etc, but no O2.
Decided to simply go elsewhere and cease my DD. They can argue for their money later..........

Only you would be the one mostly affected by such a course of action. 😔

Canceling your DD will not cancel your contract...so any bills coming out, you will still be liable for them... My suggestion would be if you really want to cancel ,ring customer services and give your notice.

Of course I would still be liable for them. But with no DD thay will have to use some effort to get it......... They may well get it in the end, but at some cost to themselves. In my situation they wouldn't want the publicity of a legal action believe me........
