Hey guys! So my scenario is nothing new as I've read countless instances of the same. Just wondering what my options are at this stage:
Bought contract, got to end of 24 month contract. For ease, let's say it was £20 a month. In month 25 I call up and cancel and pay the balance of the half month which was £10.
2 years later I get a letter from Lowells saying I owe O2 £10. I pay this immediately but it appears on my credit report sinking is from ~900 to ~400. Disaster!
Contact o2 referrals - back and forth on email - they send me a picture of account showing months of full payment: £20, £20, £20....final payment £10. I explain story and ask for recording of my final conversation when closing the account. They say they can't provide this and I can call customer services. I do and confirm my story.
Go back to credit referrals team who say they won't respond any more regardless.
I am in the right. Their customer services team confirm I am in the right. Yet, they refuse to do anything? How can they get away with this? I can't get a tiny mortgage because of them.
And to put salt in the wound, I'm still in another o2 contract worth £100 a month (I bought the iPhone Max on contract in Dec18). Jesus!
Do I have to go down the N244 form route? What a waste of my time and the unnecessary stress to boot.... 😞
