Hi all,
Has anyone managed to get a VAT invoice for the monthly phone plan payments as part of a refresh deal.
As I am VAT registered I can download a VAT invoice for my call plan payments but there is no option for the phone plan.
I have spoken to customer services on 2 occasions, the first time I was told someone would get back to me but that never happened.
On the second occasion I spoke to a manager who after being on hold for ages came back and said I would get an invoice emailed to me every month. Nothing has ever arrived.
I have even been told there is no VAT which is obviously wrong.
O2 don't seem to realise that as a VAT registered company they are legally obliged to provide this to any VAT registered customer.
I have been unable to find any phone number that would bypass customer services and get to their accounts department direct.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

The only number is 202.
I would put your request to o2 in writing to the corespondance address in contact us.

I've been trying to obtain the correct VAT compliant invoices since we upgraded in September. 50 wasted minutes on webchat, wasted time waiting for someone at Customer Services. We wrote to the Correspondence Team who wrote back within a week or so (!) and have, so far, arranged an email for the phone plan charge for October (how this will continue remains to be seen). We are still waiting on a receipt for the upgrade purchase. We've now given them a week to respond or we're taking this to HMRC as O2 are failing in their statuatory obligation to provide VAT receipts for goods supplied when asked. I've finally found someone useful at 202 who is trying to chase up the Correspondence Team. I'm suspecting O2 may be in a VAT pickle: possibly not realising how many legacy Consumer customers need VAT compliant paperwork. I'm interested to see how others get on.

When I had my own business, I simply asked for Vat invoicing to be turned on for my account, it shouldn't be a problem.

I have spoken to O2 and they said I would have to keep ringing them to arrange a Vat receipt every month until they had got something in place.
I recieved a letter in the post from o2 (presuming it was going to be my o2 phone plan vat receipt) but they had just sent me my agreement which I can already get online.
Please o2 SORT THIS OUT

Currently that only provides VAT invoices for airtime charges. Online purchases such as handset upgrades and credit agreement "phone plans" are not covered by the myO2 online account access for VAT purposes.
