Have you used the status checker to see if there is a faulty mast?
You wont be able to cancel for free

Hi @Anonymous I realise you must be annoyed but mind your language please. This is a customer to customer forum and we are not responsible for your problems.
You may want to check to see if you can rule out other network problems by checking through this guide.
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-everyone/m-p/593752#M59833 If you are having no joy with the O2 network you may be better off moving to one where you get a better signal though you will need to pay off the remainder of your contract
Putting in a complaint as suggested by @Anonymous is another option....though O2 does not offer 100% coverage all the time

@Anonymous The 3rd party could be either the power company or other utility company to restore power or the link back from the mast. Depending on where you are in the country it could also be a Vodafone engineer not an o2 engineer .
As it is showing on the status checker o2 will be trying to get it fixed asap but it can involve other access issues as well. This is why no timescales for a fix are given .
As for compensation when service is restored ring customer services they may offer a goodwill discount but are not obliged to. It is covered in the t&c.

Hi @Anonymous O2 are correct if they say 'they are waiting for a 3rd party to allow access'. They may need to get onto land which requires permission from the owner ie a farmer or someone such as that ...
Have you tried using Tu over wifi for times you are without a signal? http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

Hi @Anonymous You mention now that you made payment late. It may be due to that you have some sort of bar/limited access. You need to persevere with CS as we have no access to your account details at all.
