My o2 (android) showing PAYG instead of/and my monthly account

Anonymous

I have been with o2 for years on PAYG and in December I logged in to my account online and upgraded to a new monthly contract with new number.

My o2 account online on a laptop or desktop shows my monthly contract and my PAYG account details with everything their for both phones.

When I use the My o2 app on my android phone I log in with exactly the same credentials as I do on a laptop and I can only see the old PAYG details and not my monthly account details which relate to the new phone.

Can anyone help me who has had this problem previous please as the O2 help I have just spoken to online was unable to help with this and said I have to go into the nearest o2 store as its a problem with my phone (yeah right!!!!).

Thanks in advance everyone slight_smile

I think every time you take a Pay Monthly contract a Myo2 username is automatically generated and assigned to the account. Call 202 and get them to confirm it for you, and send you a password reset. First you'll need to change your password (Best done via a PC) and then once you get access to the Myo2 section you should be able to register a valid email address as your username.

Put the new info into your Myo2 app... and Bob's your Muvvas Bruvva slight_smile

It takes 90 days for an old account to be deactivated incase you need the information on there.
If you set up a new email account and link it it then you will be able to acess the account you want.
