I'm only 4 months into a pay monthly SIM, I don't use it and therefore will cancel it before 29/3/18, I rang 02 and enquired about it, they want £112...rip off merchant services. I'm not paying that so any ideas what I can do if any?

Hi @Dazz1 If you are cancelling before the full contract term you have to pay what you owe here

Defaults stay on your credit file for 6 years so no chance of future credit or a mortgage. Or another phone contract with anyone.

I'm not worried about debt collection agencies etc, I don't want the SIM card and refuse to pay 8 more months on something I'm not even using, I'll do an expenditure form and they can have £1 a month for being con artists. Nobody with half a brain would pay for a service they no longer can use, Virgin Media mark 2.

It's a sim card, not a phone so I'll not be paying them much, as long as they receive a £1 a month there's nothing they can do unless I refuse to pay. End of.
