My elderly mother has changed email address and not undated her account, she also can't remember her password so can't log on to her account online.
She did try calling but couldn't understand their accent.
She asked them to speak to my father and told me they wouldn't.
She is now changing providers and leaving O2, I am helping her set this up and keeping note of her login details.
If we ask for a PAC code then activate her new account does this close her O2 account? She has just paid her monthly bill?
I have power of attorney for both parents

It only closes the account once the new network uses the PAC Code and the number port completes.. It doesnt close befoe this process has completed.
You will also be charged any termination fees / device plans as part of your final bill,
