Hi all,

tried reaching out via Twitter sent pictures etc. no reply so I thought I'd try here.

Had 3 letters - neighbours name ~ my address, first 2 I circled my flat number wrote note on envelope, please correct [Neighbour does not answer door]

A third letter arrived from O2, it was an order neighbours name ~ my address, can anyone help? O2 Fraud dept email?

I know O2 would have run a credit check as I checked my credit reference file and there is a reference.

I know how the scam works, regular postman knows the residents, see name pops letter through neighbour's letterbox - Friday a new postman.

@fsurfer

If you think you are the victim of Fraud then you need to contact O2 who will get the fraud team involved

Give O2 a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202.

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

Hi, I have tried they keep asking for my mobile number, whether I am monthly or contract and when I say it has nothing to do with my O2 account they haven't a clue what to do.

Finally got a reply to my DM on Twitter

If they haven't got a clue (using your words) then you have to emphasise that you are reporting constant fraud. Most advisors will know they have to talk to the fraud team. Persevere until you get someone who will take action @fsurfer

@fsurfer To add to the advice from @Cleoriff, have you reported this suspected fraud to the police?https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

If it's the person's name, but your address, why haven't you just written "RETURN TO SENDER. NOT AT THIS ADDRESS" on the envelope and put them back in the post box?

If an order was placed with O2 from someone using your address I wouldn't have thought that they would pass a credit check if their address doesn't match.

Have reported to Police, have not given then pictures of letter or contents, have created an action fraud incident.

O2 on Twitter haven't a clue, if a purchase is made using the PAYG number it is recorded any issues they trace number back to my address

@fsurfer Your post is a little confusing. You wrote "O2 on Twitter haven't a clue, if a purchase is made using the PAYG number it is recorded any issues they trace number back to my address."

Whose PAYG number are you talking about?

Have you called customer service and spoken to anyone about this?

Have you checked to see if any credit checks have been made recently using your name?

Hi guys, sorry we are going through a lot of postal theft at moment 6 flats with a security door in communal hall and its looking like its this neighbour.

As for my issue, I just realised - Sim card has no value, so no big deal.
