Did you mean:

I have a rolling contract sim

Anonymous
Not applicable

I pay something like £16.23 a month plus any extras

I've always been under the assumption that I've been paying for data usage as 100MB has always been listed in my allowance but I've never used it

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy s3 mini and started using data

I've just been billed £25.40 and that appears to be extra for data usage

How can I be charged for using it when I'm already paying it?

I meant them sending me a new one

That's what happened years ago when I upgraded

Either way I'm happy

Thanks to everyone who replied

You've all been great!

No they wouldn't send you another sim.

If you were changing to another phone that accepted a different sized sim then you would have to change.

Been a pleasure.

They should just change the settings on the computer which will automatically update your sim with the new tariff.
Just check back with them if you have any problems but you should see the changes in your "My O2".
Did they give you a changeover date ?

She wasn't sure but she thought it should change over almost immediately but to give it 24 hours

I'll check when I get home from work tomorrow

Most changes happen at midnight.

If it was processed as an immediate change it will change at midnight. If not processed as such it won't change until the end of this bill period.
