I have a pay monthly sim (with unlimited data included) that i wish to use in a 4g router but when i attempt to use this sim the router is telling me internet connectivity is not correct.

Do i have to get this enabled in a certain way or is there something i need to set up first to be able to use this.

In short you can't.

Only specific data only sims from O2 will work in routers and mifi devices etc.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

What you could do is put the sim in a phone and use that as a hot spot.

Not sure how the Ts & Cs look for that though...

I have an EE unlimited 18 month contract. The SIM works perfectly on my standard router. Just FYI

@TinyTone Different networks different rules.

That's why people need to check terms and conditions before signing up to make sure their particular needs are met

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
