Has anyone used O2 in Sweden?

Anonymous

Hi. I'm looking for feedback on using O2 in Sweden, specifically roaming on Telia. I will be in the North of Sweden for a few weeks and Telia is the only network with a signal. I have been on live chat and been assured that I can roam on Telia, however, no-one seems to know if I will be able to use 3G or 4G. One person said no and the other said I should be able to. Before I commit to an expensive contract I could really do with finding out for sure. Anyone got any experience? Thanks!

@Anonymous As you haven't taken out a contract yet, you might want to look at Three. You can roam in Sweden for no extra charge on whatever tariff you take with them. *

Yes, I've just seen that @MI5 and thanks for the correction. I've also edited my previous post as far as coverage goes.:smileywink:

Something new I think mate - I only noticed it the other day when I also noticed the monthly PAYG price had gone up too for the unlimited data option.

Three is no good. It has to be Telia network as I know for certain there is good coverage.

They are the frequencies available for use.
You will connect on GSM 900/1800 but not on LTE 800/2600 as they aren't compatible.

Why don't people choose a phone which comes with no lock?

If you buy from O2 it is locked - no choice.

Are phones from O2 really less expensive than outside?
