First bill query

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I've just ordered a new handset on contract, earlier in the week, and it is due for delivery today. The phone is a christmas present and won't be activated until christmas day, but, i've just received an email about a bill, and have been told i'm expected to pay more than the normal monthly cost (Only by around £1 more but still) on december 27th, is this normal? The phone will have been used for 2 days and i'm already getting stung for a bill more than i've agreed to?

Thanks

Liam

That's because the phone has been sent out before the bill due date, there is an allowance included for use prior to this date, so there is a pro rata charge, the next bill will be normal.

If any of these charges are for the period prior to the delivery date, ring O2 and they will credit your account.

o2 do not know that it will not be used so the contract starts on day it is dispatched so you could use it the day it arrives.
