Downgrading/Cancelling Contract

Okay, is it possible to do the following:

Firstly, i am an o2 refresh customer currently paying £33 Airtime plan & £25 Device Plan, and i am a year into my contract now which gives me the option to either hand back my device or pay off the rest of my device plan (£300) to use refresh

is it possible to use refresh to pay the device plan off, then start a SIM ONLY! 1 month contract (example 1000 mins 100 calls 2 gb data) that costs around £10 then cancelling it after 1 month, which allows me to basically get out of my contract?

You cannot downgrade your tariff unless you complete your minimum term or upgrade by paying your device plan off. You can then choose to upgrade or if you wish to walk away. Just pay off your device plan then you are free to go with what you want

All you need to do is pay off the device plan and give notice on your airtime which is cancelled for free once the device is paid for.
