I am upgrading and I would like to have the same number as my previous phone, will it stay the same and do I select either I need a new sim or I don’t need a new sim at checkout?

@Simone1

When you upgrade you keep the same number.

You only need new if your old one doesn't fit the new phone.

@Simone1 Yes, your number will stay the same. You will be sent a new sim, but you don't have to use it. You can use your old sim if it's the same size. If your new phone is a 5G phone and you want to use a 5G sim you will have to do a sim swap. You can either do it online here: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/SIM-Swap-a-mini-guide/ba-p/1060675 or wait until the stores reopen. I would advise waiting, as O2's systems aren't really running on all 8 cylinders at the moment, and there have been problems with sim swaps.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
