Do O2 charge for a replacement pay monthly sim?

I have a Samsung s3 it uses a mini sim and I put into an adapter to use in a standard phone. It took a few goes getting the sim into the adapter! Anyway, I then put the mini sim back into the Samsung s3 and it can't read the sim.

It says "no sim" so I must have scratched the sim, to make sure the phone was ok, I used a PAYG sim and it was fine.

So will I be charged for a new sim - thanks

No if it's gone faulty you should get one free.

An O2 shop would do it for you too.

While your in the O2 shop ask them to help you carry out the Swap My Sim procedure ,or you can do this by texting SWAP to 20220 or via http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

It can take from a few minutes to a couple of hours to fully activate and by turning your phone off and on helps reset the services.
