Do O2 block Ports 465 and 444?

Anonymous

Hello.

I work in the IT Department and we're rolling out Bighand (dictation software) for iPhones/Android. We need to access port 465.

I've read conflicting reports on whether O2 block this or not?

I called O2 Business Tech Support, the lady I spoke to didn't know and said the Network team don't know either. Which I don't believe but were getting nowhere with an answer.

If port 465 is blocked, is port 444 allowed/unblocked?

Thanks

If you are trying to receive incoming connections then it wont work, i have been testing today and O2 block many ports which prevents people on O2 Mobile Broadband from "hosting" services or providing access to hosts on the LAN if you are using it as a broadband backup!

Hello.

Thanks for the reply. No we're not. We need to use port 465 (ideally) or port 444 (if 465 is blocked) for outgoing traffic from the Bighand app.

O2 don't seem to know which port numbers they allow/disallow?

Anyone? Thanks.

If port 465 is blocked, how about 444?
