Disconnection

Anonymous
Not applicable
I was late paying my bill December and January as I was in hospital having my baby. The December bill was 2 days late and they completely disconnected me barring incoming calls as well I paid my bill beginning of January and all was ok, at the end of January it was late again (direct debit was taken when I had no money in my account so it was a returned direct debit resulting in the bill being unpaid.. I went to my bank beginning of February to find o2 had tried to take 2 direct debits one being my £60 phone bill (which was fine) but the 2nd was for an obscene amount of £468.67 ( the amount due for the handset ).. I cancelled the direct debit so they couldn't take anymore money out because I've now had upteen bank charges through it all.. now the cheeky beggars have disconnected my whole phone again no incoming calls or texts being received at all. How am I supposed to phone them to pay my new bill when they've cut me bloody off.. I don't have a landline before anyone says that option 😊.. o2 are an absolute joke

Without meaning to sound harsh you broke the terms of your contract when you were late with your payments (for whatever reason) . O2 have every right to cancel your contract and attempt to recover monies owed.

(Check section 5 of the terms and conditions here http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/our-latest-pay-monthly-mobile-agreement)

The very worst thing you did was to cancel your direct debit mandate. This will result in a poor credit rating for yourself. I hope you get it sorted by following the advice given above.
