Dilemma with contract

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have paid my contract for the past 28 months which was a continuation from a previous 2 year contract. Problem is it's in my ex's name who refuses to transfer it over if I just stop paying the bill can they ask for my phone even though I got it from an independent retailer not from O2? As far as I'm concerned the phone belongs to me as I have paid for it. Help please

If the phone is yours just stop paying the contract and leave him to sort out the mess it's him they will go after not you

I may be wrong but I'm getting the feeling the violence in the relationship stated earlier in the thread may be playing a part of not just cancelling the payments and walking away.

I have the pass/security details to talk to them yes. The original phone was part of the contract but after 2 years I got a free upgrade at an independent retailer however he left the contract in his name with the promise that he would transfer it over. It's now 18 months later & he claims he can't but when I speak to O2 they say he can. I believe the phone belongs to me but the contract to him. Thanks for your help everyone

If the upgrade was taken out in his name then the phone belongs to him

If you know all the account security details just upgrade the account and switch it to your name at the same time - All previous ties will then be broken.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
