I have just received my latest bill and to my shock, horror I have £200+ data charges. When I've looked into settings I noticed roaming was on. We haven't been out of the coutry so could this be the cause of all the data usage?

If not, what else could be the cause?

Thank you in advance and any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Patash That does seem excessive, but you need to see what apps are running and updating in the background. Facebook is a notorious culprit, along with any other social media apps you may have. I also believe that when iPhones are not in WiFi range they automatically switch to mobile data. Best thing to do is switch off mobile data completely.

If on a business tariff you are charged for exceeding your data allowance but if you check your MyO2 it will explain exactly what the charges are for or call customer service for help http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @Patash, how are you? Just wanted to check if you received all the info you needed? Did you find out what the data charges were for in the end?
