Currently on SIM only contract with O2, found a phone 24 month contract on USwitch

Hi,

 

Currently on SIM only contract with O2, found a 24 month + phone contract on uSwitch.

If I apply for this new 24 month contract through uSwitch, will this mean I will have 2 contracts/2 phone numbers live at the same time?

What would be the best solution in this case?

 

Upgrading directly with O2 won't match the found deal.

Edited to add. I have kept my number for 10 years. I did go to another network then moved back to O2. The Last time I went instore they swapped everything over for me....It really is easy to keep

The only way out of your contract with O2 is to pay off the outstanding balance I am afraid. You could then sell your current phone to release additional funds.....

In short until you pay off O2 you will have 2 contracts

Yes....if they are on a 12 month sim only this would be an option...:smileywink:

It depends what network you are going to with USwitch. Most of them have ways of keeping your number...O2 certainly do @Anonymous

but it does not ask me to put in my existing phone number (vodafone and ee only).

 

and the number I have is currently live.

 

i still don't get how they can "keep" it.

You need to close your old account and take the new deal.
O2 will transfer your number to the new contract, just call them on 202.
It's free to cancel old contract if you've reached your min term, if not, you will have to pay it off.
