I have just upgraded and changed my contract to a 12 month sim only contract which includes 1GB data. If I find that I need 2GB can I upgrade my contract or do I have to wait?

Hi

You would need to check in your myo2 to see if another option is open to you or ring Customer Services on 202 to enquire.

Edit : you do have the option to add a Data Bolt on too.

Thank you for quick reply. I have just checked on My 02 and it says as an existing customer I can upgrade now. So I presume I can switch to the 2GB allowance contract for an extra cost.

hi there @s_kingdom

The rule with tariff transfers is if there is a higher tariff available then u can get it. Basically u can't downgrade but u can always upgrade. And the best way to check if there are any more options available is to check on my o2. The other option is to buy a one off data bolton if u don't need it every month, and u can also do that on my o2.:smileyhappy:

O2 will always allow you to upgrade, but not downgrade. A bit like the Roach Motel or Hotel California. As @Anonymous suggested, it might be a good idea to just get a bolt-on for a month to gauge how much data you're using. You may not need as much as you think. If you upgrade you can't go back, so a bolt-on for a month before you commit to the length of your contract would be sensible.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I would go with @Bambino suggestion because once you upgrade it's pointless paying extra if you don't need the extra data.
