Cheaper O2 deals from other companies.

Ive spoken to someone on chat. and they have confirmed that I can get a cheaper deal elsewhere than they can offer me. until today I didnt know this was possible, will my service be the same?

It will be exactly the same but a standard 2 year contract, no Refresh and no o2 open if you qualify.

yes you can always get a cheaper deal through 3rd party providers like Carphone etc but by going through O2 Direct you arguably get better support

Signal and customer service is the same but you lose some of the benefits from buying direct.

Yeah, such as shared data, open discounts and the ability to pay the handset off and walk away.
