I am a long time customer over 15 years with o2

I put international bolt on and made a call to cananda post office to help my brother out who lives there

Called o2 today to turn the bolt on off and they told me the call cost me £70

Not knowing Canada numbers they told me that this call was a chargeable number like 0870 over here UK

This was a genuine mistake and want o2 to see if this charge can be waved off

It was a genuine mistake and I wouldn’t put a bolt on knowing I would be charged for it

Please can someone get back to me asap from o2 that something can be done about this

This is from a loyal o2 customer

Alas, they will not call you back, @Tony888.

Numbers in here, the 0800 587 4005 number seems to be one that gets answered reasonably quickly: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Keep calling, is all I can suggest. Good luck!

This is a Community Forum, @Tony888  - we are O2 Customers, like yourself.

To progress this, you will need to call O2 again, but they are not obliged to refund you the cost of a call that you knowingly made.

Unfortunately as @pgn has alluded to i very much doubt o2 will wave the cost of a call you made, and is im afraid your responsibility.

I called o2 friday at 16.40 asked them to put international bolt on on my contract so i can call cananda landline

The advisor told me after the call turn phone off and on and then make the call

So at 16.50 i turned phone on and off and made a 30 minute call.

I then spoke to o2 CS next day to tell them to turn the bolt on off and they told me i have been charged £70 for the call as the bolt on was not actictivated till 17.00pm

This is not my fault as the advisor told me to make the call after the call and phone switched on and off.

I want someone from o2 to contact me asap
