Got new phone in October 2024 and want to change my tariff, unable to do online so contacted o2 who said I have to wait to my contract ends.

Is this correct, because I have changed tariff on my previous contact with them.

Thanks

You can only change your tariff to one of those that are offered in myo2.

If you see a deal elsewhere then you would need to pay off your contract, and then sign up to a new contract (if via uswitch etc as these deals are only for new customers) and ask o2 to migrate your number (once the old one is paid off).

Thanks for the reply, it is offered on myO2 but when I try to do it online it comes up with an error message advising me to contact them. They have said I can’t change it until my contract ends in November 2026.
