Hello
I got a new phone a few days ago through mobile phones direct. I want to take the number from my old phone and put it onto the new one. I am already an o2 customer so the new phone is displayed on the myO2 app account along with my current phone. I saw something about texting SWAP to a number.
I also need to cancel my current contract. Can I do this myself or would I need to call o2 because I've already tried multiple times the last few days and they are super busy.

You need to speak to customer service and ask them to migrate your number. That will also end the existing old contract.

Unfortunately you need to speak to O2 Customer services to complete a duplicate account form.
