Cannot use my o2 app

Hi,

I recently moved over from Virgin and got a pay monthly sim from yourselves. To keep my old number I believe I have to get the my o2 app and follow steps that way, nonetheless I was going to use the app for deals etc anyway. So, when I first made an account and tried to use the app, it gave me the “my o2 isn’t available for you yet, it can take up to 48 hours for your account to be ready” and it has been 48 hours now and it still does not work. Can you help me with this? I can’t swap SIM yet because I want to keep my old number. Thank you
