What is the correct procedure for cancelling a number during the initial 14 days?

I've tried all social media messaging options but the messages do not get read, so i've called this morning on 0344 809 0202 and each time i'm told they can't cancel this number because it's in the 14 day cooling off period, i'd need to be transferred to customer services, they say they will transfer me over and the call ends. This has happened 4 times now. Is there a different number i can call to get me to the right department?

Thanks.
