Can't send MMS messages.

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have an Acer S200 smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.1 & on an o2 sim only pay monthly contract. I noticed today I cannot send MMS messages, comes up "Cannot send MMS message please try again" after a few seconds trying to send it. It has worked in the past & I have not changed anything in settings as far as I am aware. I can receive MMS messages ok.

Data is turned on & my MMS settings are this:-

Profile name: MMS Default

MMSC Address: http://mmsc.o2.co.uk

Data Connection: MMS O2(postpaid)

Gateway: WAP 2.0 Gateway

IP Address: 193.113.200.195

Port: 8080

Any thoughts please?

Hi buseng12.

Can you try expanding the MMSC to: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

Can you still connect to the internet?

Do you have automatic setup in settings?

To download all WAP/MMS settings please do the following,
Tap Start
Tap Programs
Tap Settings
Tap Network Settings
Tap Operator Settings
Tap Done.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

Haven't quite got those options. I got start, o2, get settings. I press select at the bottom & it just says waiting response then sending sms....

Still does not work though.

I have also sent "active" to 2020, but the reply says unfortunately there was a problem......  Please contact customer services.

Hello there. Before I saw your message I downloaded the settings onto another phone & noticed the url change. I applied this to the Acer MMS settings & guess what? It worked! Thank you very much for the info anyway, is this a recent change by o2?

I can't thank you enough for this. Could receive photos on my Nokia 620 but couldn't send. Saw your reply and expanded the MMSC as you suggest and lo and behold I can now send messages. Thanks again.
