Can I upgrade to phone only? (no call tariff)

My current contract runs out this month. I have an iphone 5c. I would like to upgrde to an iphone 6. 

Am I able to upgrade the phone only (no call tarriff)?

You could also check out cpw etc. They sell handsets on older style tariffs. I kept the same 5GB tariff when I upgraded.

You would still need to take out a contract to get a phone first
