Please can you tell me if I buy more data and dont use it in a month, how long will it last?

Thanks.
Im without WiFi for 50% of the day at the moment.
Would you know if 8gb of data will suffice with 'average' phone usage?
Whatapp, a few photos, news apps and general light web surfing.

No Netflix, social media or streaming music or you tube etc

I use the same as you with the odd Youtube video and have 8GB. I rarely use more than 3GB a month.
