Broken phone ive payed for

hi ive broken my screen on my it as a sim card but dosent  work in another phone i think my phone is sim free how do i get around getting all my contacts from the phone

If the new phone wont accept your sim, then moving your contacts wont help you... But depending on your phone your contacts should be backed up to either Google Cloud or iCloud.. So you can try and sync them from there...
