Bringing my old number to O2

I recently took out a new contract and 3 weeks ago before COVID19 really took hold. I put in to transfer my old number but it hasn't taken place and I am running 2 phones and paying for both. Is there anyway I can contact them to make sure this request is in the pipe line at all. I tried to call but they say they are only accepting calls for new customers and customers who are leaving. I can't afford to be running 2 phones but I do understand the circumstances at the moment.

@Scott5 Did you give O2 a PAC from another network? That process is taking much longer than normal.
