Bills getting capped.

Is there a way to get your bill capped or even a text to say your near your limit? This is the second time o2 has billed me for £200+ first time was for internet usage even thou i only had a basic phone at the time but they didnt beleive so had to pay it even thou i never used the internet. second one is for minutes ok maybe i should keep an eye on my minutes BUT I am busy and don't have the time to check everyday (which i feel i would have to do) I know i can arrange a payment plan to pay so much a month. but it would be helpful not to arrange a payment plan. getting it capped or a warning text would be very useful!

O2 do not cap accounts so it is up to you to keep your eye on your usage, I.m afraid.

Pay more for a higher tarif. Even their highest tariffs won't cost that much.

I have looked into this but there is still that chance of going over again. Even unlimited probaly seems the best option but thats about £60 a month, I just want off this contract to be honest so I don't really want to pay o2 anymore then I have to.

£60 a month is still quite shy of £200+ slight_smile

Are you running a buisness? Where is the majority of charges coming from?

Unlimited calls & texts and 1 gb of data was £31 a month last time I looked. How long have you got left on your contract. Just control yourself until you can change.

you could just use a payg sim & top up whenever you need to, data will cost you £1 a day unless you switch mobile data off & just use wifi where possible

Why can't people accept responsibility for what they do? You're an adult - you're capable of monitoring your own usage. It's not like O2 don't provide loads of ways of doing that.

You could download a messaging app, like GoSMS for Android, and schedule a text of BALANCE to 21202 to send every day.

But it does only take 2 seconds to check so if you are close to coming up to the limit you should be able to - your account is your responsibility.

Hence why I suggested a payg sim if he can't keep tabs on his usage
