I need some advice from you guys about my new tariff. It may be a little early but I have to get prepared.
Currently I am on contract which is up for renewal in December (or just before) I have a S3 at the moment
To get something that suits me, there are a few things you need to know ...
!) I will be getting a Note 3...that isn't up for debate...
2) Currently I am on Unlimited texts and minutes and 1GB of data (which I never exceed)
3) Where possible, I use my PC or tablet. (I don't work... so these two devices are my comfort zone)
4) I go to Spain frequently so this has to be considered....
5) I want to stay with O2
As the contract I am on at present is the first one I have ever had.....what is going to happen nearer my end date? ....
Will I be bombarded with calls and texts from other partners encouraging me to go with them?...
There you go...I am sure I will have many other questions, but these will do for now

@jonsie wrote:If you are happy with your present tariff you don't have to do anything, your contact will just carry on albeit a 30 day rolling contract. Simply put the sim in your Note 3 and you're good to go.
Just refer any cold calls with a polite no but to be honest I've only ever had one.
If you want to change tariff have a look at the new ones with 4G included but with your usage you probably won't benefit really.
Being on a 30 day rolling contract (or changing to a Simplicity 30 day contract) means you can leave anytime just by giving 30 days notice and also able to take advantage of any new tariffs that happen from time to time.
Thanks @jonsie ...this looks good...but I really wont want to get in the ball game of checking for new tariffs every 30 days or so...
Its like this one I am on now...I have been perfectly happy with unlimited...and have had it for 2 years...I would just like to keep this one maybe?
Oh yes I am paying £31 PM for it...but that does include the phone...

Apologies here and now...I type so slowly I am missing other posts...so thanks to you all for joining in..
I am not being ignorant nor ignoring any of you ....honestly..
I just need time to read and absorb...
@Bambino If i get the right deal I am happy paying that...even if it is only for 12 months or so...

Based on the current available tariff's (subject to change by O2) I would drop to a 12 month simo and buy the phone outright from somewhere (sim free)
Currently, tariff wise you will pay £19 a month for the same tariff that you are on now.
It is still classed as a contract so Tugo and any other contract only perk will remain as they are now.
12 Months Unlimited Calls Unlimited Texts 1GB 4G Data
£19.00
So...a sim only deal is completely different to a 30 day rolling contract??

And if the above question appears dim...then that is the problem I have with contracts for phones

@Cleoriff I agree with MI5 and jonsie. You're now paying £31 PM for a two year old phone. In the long run, dropping down to a sim only contract, whether it's 12 month or 30 days works out much less than you're paying now. Buy whatever device you are interested in sim free.

I didn't realise you were paying £31/month so a12month sim only would make sense and is probably your best option.
