Barred phone despite having payed.

I was caught a bit short one day with paying a bill of mine. I was able to pay half of it and arranged with o2 about paying the 2nd half on the 4th. They barred the use of my texting and phone calls until the 2nd payment was done.

I payed the amount requested and I was told that it usually takes up to 24 hours to be completed, which is fair enough. However the question I would like to ask is thus:

Would the payment still take 24 hours if it was to be done on a weekend or would I have to wait for the Monday to use my phone again?

Many thanks Thanks!

Thank you for that information.. I paid the bill on a Friday so would that mean Monday would be the day my phone is un-barred?

You could wait 2 or 3 days for the automated system to sort itself out.
You are far better calling cs and getting them to clear the account.

Yes don't rely on CS to unbar it automatically...they will need a call I am sure...

Call rather than use live chat, preferably 8-8.30am.

To the poster who is having problems with the insurance company, you really need to explain more what the exact problem is. As long as you followed the correct procedure there should be no problem. A data plan has no bearing on any claim but there are terms and conditions that have to be met as with all insurance.
