After Contract Tariff Change, A Few Questions

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've recently been thinking about paying the remaining balance on my refresh contract so that overall the cost per month is lower and I'd then be free (should I so choose) to do other things with it.

A question I've wanted to pose is that if I pay off the contract  (the settlement fee etc), then is it possible to lower certain segments of the contract?.

Currently I have unlimited calls and texts, but never use them to their full advantage, so I was considering possibly asking to have them reduced and my data possibly increased.

But I wonder if this is possible? (I can't seem to find any mention of this via o2's various social media or official outputs)

I was hoping some more knowledgable people might be able to help me here.

Regards,

It is in some ways yes, you can "upgrade" to a sim only plan which is better suited and then later upgrade that to one with handset.
Generally speaking tho, the refresh airtime tariff alone offers better value on data allowances usually.

Interesting, and forgive my ignorance with this, but would I be right in saying the phone number could follow me from refresh to sim-only and back again (if I so chose to do so)?

Awesome, that answers the questions I had, I thought I would just check as a few years ago I knew it wasn't possible to take a number from Pay&Go to PayMonthly and back again. Didn't know if it appiled elsewhere.

Thanks @viridis and @MI5
