Hi, I've just upgrade my sim only contract. I've done it through the uswtich. After completing the upgrade I have received text message from o2 that I'm now on sim only plan affiliate. What is it? I've heard about it.

Thanks, Prem.

@Premski

Because the plan you are on is offered by USwitch who take a commission from o2, and they are an affiliate of o2.

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

Do affiliate plans have the same priority as the other pay monthly plans? Are affiliate plans speed capped compared to the other plans?

Thank you in advance

Exactly the same speed etc as none affiliated.

I've been running affiliated for three years, as have others on here

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Thank you for your reply. I’m looking at rejoining o2 and I found some great sim only deals on Uswitch and I initially thought there must be a catch such as deprioritised or slower/ capped speeds since it’s so much cheaper than o2 themselves.

Hi. My wife and I are both on O2. My wife pays 100% more than I do for a similar data allowance, and her speed is always faster at the same location. I am on "Sim Only Affiliate," and she is on the "Classic" plan.

@KYWL Can't answer for affiliate members elsewhere but at present I'm running 279Mbps down on 5G Stand Alone at our local supermarket

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Classic is a PAYG plan, or was, no?

Oh this Classic contract tariff, ok

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/all-tariffs

Does the speed follow the SIM, if you swap SIMs between phones, @KYWL ?
